Analytics & Tag Management

Google Analytics

Tracks visitor behavior, traffic sources, conversions, and revenue across the storefront. Provides the baseline data every merchant needs to understand which marketing channels work and where shoppers drop off. Customers use it to measure campaign ROI, monitor product page performance, and report on store growth.

Google Tag Manager

A container that lets marketers add and manage third-party tracking scripts (Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, Bing UAT, Snapchat, etc.) without editing Magento theme code. Customers use it to consolidate tracking under one extension instead of installing a separate module for each ad platform — and to push a rich data layer (cart contents, order totals, product attributes) into any tag.

Facebook Pixel

Tracks shopper actions (page views, add-to-cart, purchases) and sends them to Meta so customers can run retargeting ads, build lookalike audiences, and measure ad-driven conversions. Most merchants pair this with Google Tag Manager — install Pixel once via GTM rather than as a standalone extension.

Marketing & Engagement

Mailchimp

Syncs Magento customers, orders, and products with Mailchimp so merchants can run email campaigns, abandoned-cart emails, and post-purchase flows from one platform. Customers use it for newsletters, segmented promotions, and lifecycle email — all driven by their actual store data.

Instagram Feed

Embeds a live Instagram feed (typically the brand's own account or a tagged-products feed) on the storefront — usually on the homepage or product pages. Customers use it as social proof, to show user-generated content, and to shorten the path from social discovery to purchase.

Reward Points  (Paid)

A loyalty program that awards points for purchases, sign-ups, newsletter subscriptions, reviews, and birthdays — redeemable as discounts at checkout via an input field or slider. Customers use it to drive repeat purchases, increase average order value, and turn one-time buyers into long-term customers. Configurable earn rules and exchange rates per website and customer group, with REST and GraphQL API support for headless and PWA storefronts.

Accessibility

UserWay

An accessibility widget that adds a toolbar to the storefront so shoppers can adjust text size, contrast, spacing, cursor, and other display settings to meet their needs. Helps customers move toward ADA and WCAG 2.1 AA conformance — reducing legal exposure from accessibility lawsuits while making the store usable for shoppers with visual, motor, or cognitive impairments. Installed across our customer Magento 2 sites as the standard accessibility layer.

Abandoned Cart  (Paid)

Detects when a shopper adds items to cart but doesn't check out, then sends a sequence of recovery emails (and sometimes SMS) with the cart contents, often paired with a discount code. Customers use it to recover lost revenue — typically the highest-ROI marketing automation a store can install, since the shopper has already shown purchase intent.

Merchandising & UX

Quick View

Adds a button on category/listing pages that opens a product preview in a modal — image, price, options, add-to-cart — without leaving the listing. Customers use it to reduce friction on browse-heavy stores (fashion, accessories, home goods) where shoppers compare many items before deciding.

Out of Stock Notification  (Paid)

Lets shoppers subscribe to be notified by email when an out-of-stock product comes back. Customers use it to capture demand they'd otherwise lose, prioritize restocks based on real signup data, and convert sold-out page visits into future sales.

Customer Support

Chat System

Live chat widget on the storefront that lets customers ask pre-sale questions, get sizing/fit help, or resolve checkout issues in real time. Common implementations are Tawk.to, LiveChat, Zendesk Chat, or Tidio. Merchants use it to lift conversion on high-consideration purchases and to deflect support tickets.

Developer Tooling

MagePal

Not a single extension — MagePal is a Magento extension vendor that publishes the GTM, GA4, Enhanced E-commerce, and Custom SMTP modules listed above (plus ~30 others). When engineering says "we installed MagePal," they typically mean the MagePal Google Tag Manager + Enhanced E-commerce bundle, which is the standard stack for getting clean analytics data out of Magento.
