How to manage user security in N41

How to manage user security in N41

1. Go to Company Setup, Company, User Security

DO NOT USE User Setup

2. To create a new user

a. Click New button to create a new user

Or

b. Double click the user which you want to duplicate from

c. Click Duplicate

 

3. To manage a User or User Group, double click the user or one of the user of the Group



4. Enter User ID, Password, Name, and Description.

5. Check Active

If Active is not active, the user cant access.

When you create more users than you have licensed, another random users will be Inactivated.

6. Assign User Type

Most users should have U: User as User Type

S: Sales Rep user type will have a limited access to its own customers and orders only.

S.R Group Manager has to its Groups other Sales Rep records.

7. Assign Price Level

IF both field are blank, the user dont have price level limitation

8. Assign Division

Click Add Division button or Delete Division button

If there is no division, the user has access to all divisions.

9. Check View Cost and Confirm Scan&Pack Error

10. Assign Default Warehouse



11. Go to Win Security tab to manage security of User Group or User.

12. Managing User Group is highly recommended over managing individual Users.

13. Double click one of Window List to manage Windows Security and Column Security



14. Go to Special tab for special permission

15. Click Add

16. Select User and Job Name

17. Check Enable
